As Brandt works in Colorado, he was able to receive his Colorado EMT license through the State Department of Health after submitting his NREMT certificate. While most states require Emergency Medical Technicians at the basic level to have a NREMT certificate, there is variance in what new EMTs must do in order to practice in-state after receiving this certificate.
